Uncertainty over future of Olympic Stadium opens door for Morgan Pryce and Devono clients.

The continued saga surrounding the future of the Olympic Stadium, primarily being fought out by Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham football clubs, has left the door open for some more unlikely tenants, being represented by two of London’s top tenant acquisition agencies.

Rob Lee, Managing Director of Devono, was unavailable for comment but it is being widely touted in market circles that the acquisition specialist is representing a Russian Oligarch with ambitious plans for London’s latest iconic building.
 
“Nothing is signed yet but we are close to agreeing a deal that will see the Olympic Stadium turned into the world’s largest private garage.  A $30 million refurbishment will create space for two Airbus A380 aircraft, reportedly named Chic and Class, as well as a fleet of smaller vehicles including an unspecified number of bendy buses which were purchased following the election of Boris Johnson” confirmed a source at Devono who commented under condition of anonymity.  “Plans also include to turn the A2 into a private taxi-way between Stratford and Gatwick but concerns have been raised about whether the road will be wide enough to accomodate the buses.”

David Perrins, Managing Director of Morgan Pryce, was similarly tight lipped when asked about potential tenants for the site but it is understood that he is representing a client who has recently won the 148 million euro millions jackpot and who intends to convert the space into a  giant roller disco. 

A source at Morgan Pryce commented “We understand it’s not exactly conventional but new money is still money and we are not here to judge on peoples tastes!  We believe that if the mayor is prepared to consider two loss making football clubs for our national stadiumj, why not at least consider a roller disco which will at least probably make more money.”

Whatever the outcome, the future looks bright for the Olympic Stadium and fears of White Elephants crowding the skyline of Stratford seem likely to be only a concern for those who thought that putting a high class casino in Stratford was a good idea!
