Regeneration specialist U+I has disclosed plans to offer 1,500 residential units as part of its mixed-use Greenwich Peninsula scheme — 35% of which will be affordable homes.
The development will also offer six acres of landscaped parks and public space, including a new public square where Thames Path meets Seawitch Street, a new park, an underground car park and football pitches.
The firm is currently consulting stakeholders and the local community regarding the plans and intends to work with Dutch architect OMA on the project.
According to Richard Upton, chief development officer at U+I, the company “will deliver a scheme that not only opens up and transforms the area into a green mixed-use development, but also drives growth and employment and delivers much-needed homes. We are consulting with the local community and stakeholders and look forward to hearing their feedback on our plans.”
