Over the last week, the weather has been giving us hints that we are seeing the end of winter.  A couple of glorious days last week in conjunction with us waking up earlier and going to bed later has seemed to put a spring in everyone’s step. We have managed to fight our way through the depressions of dry January and February where there was nothing to look forward to. Now March has arrived, the sun has come out the and the next holiday doesn’t seem so far away and beer gardens aren’t just the place smokers dare go. 

So what does this mean to the office market? Well you will be surprised how much difference the good weather makes to people’s perception of a new office space. Walking round offices on a wet dreary day does not bode well.

It is also coming to a lot of companies year end at the end of this month, meaning that next year’s budgets are being confirmed. This translates into companies being able to make decisions on budgets for pending office moves and are able to push the button on moving forward on taking a new lease. 

It is pretty tenuous link to say that the sun being out has any effect on decision making but it certainly does make for an enjoyable office search. Although it is a fine line, if it is too hot walking in and out of offices can make for a very flustered experience, especially if the offices you are going into are not air conditioned.
