London property developer Anthology has purchased two new prestigious sites in the capital, increasing its portfolio to more than 1,600 units.

The first new acquisition is part of a project to construct more than 300 homes and 60,00 sq ft of commercial space in Stratford. The 2.7-acre site — a former smelting works which has been named Anthology Stratford Mill — is ideally located next to Pudding Mill Lane DLR station and was purchased from commercial property specialist Workspace Group for £15 million.

The second new acquisition is a 1.75-acre vacant care home site situated in Elephant and Castle, which Anthology purchased from the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

Both sites were acquired through competitive tenders: Montagu Evans acted for Workspace and Savills acted for South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
