London office space market temporarily frozen by the Olympics

Morgan Pryce, the specialist property acquisition agent in Central London, has seen a 60% drop in viewings during the last 10 days which coincides with the start of the Olympic games in London.

“A large proportion of the clients we are working with have simply shut up shop and decided not to venture forth for property searches until after the end of next week” says Sally Brough, Senior Agent with Morgan Pryce.  “The hysteria surrounding the Olympics has simply scared clients off viewings and this will no doubt have an effect further down the supply chain, including most notably the Fitout companies”

Jimmy Tran, Business Development Director for CSK Projects, a London based Fitout company commented “We have been exceptionally busy of late but it is certain that the Olympics has gotten people delaying decisions and for some companies this will have a serious impact on their pipelines and subsequent profitability.”
