The tech giant has recently unveiled the location of their newest Central London offices, the building for the engineer’s sector of Google covers three floors in a construction in Victoria.
The Google team have certainly gone to new interior design extremes this time around, the new office space is now equipped with whiteboard walls, sound-proofed music room with drums and guitars along with pool tables and video games to keep staff entertained during break times, and to put the cherry on the cake, Google staff have a choice from four different restaurants on site, all free of charge!
A recent article states that the staff at Google have contributed towards the interior design planning of their new office space. Nelson Mattos, Google’s Vice President of Engineering, said ‘We hire the brightest and best engineers in the UK and put them together in a highly creative, relaxed and exciting environment’ Google’s bright and awe-inspiring design is set to maintain the engineer’s motivation and keep them at the top of their game.
Mattos adds ‘Contrary to accepted wisdom, fun offices don’t hurt. Our experience is that a comfortable, open and fun environment encourages creavity and openness. Open spaces make chance interactions more likely, and chance interactions often lead to the greatest ideas.’
David Perrins of Morgan Pryce adds, ‘We too believe that having a high quality of office space to provide to our workers is particularly important for an increasingly successful business such as Google.’
