Craig Norton, Head of West End leasing at eminent commercial property and real estate consultants Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) has announced he is leaving after 13 years to take up a position as equity partner at Edward Charles & Partners – a renowned team of independent chartered surveyors specialising in leasing and acquisition in Central London.
With more than 20 years’ experience in the Central London commercial property market, Norton is a fantastic asset to any property company; joining C&W from Hodnett Martin Smith in 2005, he has worked on numerous notable projects, including the Ampersand building, the Blue Fin Building and Nova Victoria.
Losing such a stalwart of the industry to a competitor could come as something of a blow to C&W, but Head of London leasing at the company, Richard Howard, states the firm remains confident in its future: “Our leasing team will maintain its market-leading position by doing what we have always done: putting our clients at the front and centre of everything we do.”
Norton says of the move: “After 13 great years at Cushman & Wakefield I am lucky enough to have been presented with this opportunity to join one of the most respected independent firms in London.”
