A £400 million investment platform has been established by Astarte Capital Partners as part of its strategy to redevelop prime infill and edge-of-prime real estate in Greater London.

The company’s discretionary co-investment vehicle Astarte Special Opportunities Platform (ASOP) is leading the investment in the new venture, as well providing the model for its structure.

The platform will initially create a closed-end fund of £400 million, which will be split across eight to ten investment opportunities in the entertainment, healthcare, hospitality and education sectors with the potential to be developed as core real estate assets.

According to co-founder and partner of Astarte Capital Partners, Teresa Farmaki: “We strongly believe that this is the right time for institutional capital to be looking at London. Our new platform will give global investors the opportunity to invest in edge of prime, off-market, real estate in London, one of the most attractive markets in the world.”

While fellow co-founder and managing partner, Dr Stavros Siokos, said: “This is the maiden investment of ASOP platform which is structured to enable investors to access more than $2 billion worth of value-add opportunities in the real assets space.”
