Croydon’s status as a sought-after office location continues to grow as Green Network Energy relocates from St. Paul’s in Central London.
Electricity giant Green Network Energy has confirmed plans to relocate from its offices on Paternoster Square in Central London to the aptly-named Renaissance Building in Croydon.
The company has negotiated with M&G Real Estate to take up approximately 28,00 sq ft of grade A space in the new location, bringing the building to 100% let and almost tripling the amount of space Green Network Energy currently occupies in St. Martin’s Court.
The move is a clear indication that, although it is slightly outside the Central London location typically associated with prime office space, Croydon is continuing to enjoy a boom in its allure as an alternative to the City. With rents up to 78% cheaper than in the West End and fast, regular transport links to Central London, Gatwick Airport and plenty of commuter towns to the south, this should come as no surprise; indeed, industry experts have forecast that the out of centre location will become ever more desirable over the next year.
