Jones Lang LaSalle announced last week they will be moving out of their home at 22 Hanover square and consolidate their office space in to 30 Warwick Street. JLL spent nearly 29 years in the 43,000 sq. ft. space in Hannover square which had become their largest HQ in the world. However, they now plan to move the majority of their employees in the previously occupied space of King Sturge at 30 Warwick Street and the remainder into 40 Bank Street, E14.

JLL’s next objective will be to dispose of their remaining lease at Hannover square which is due to expire in 2017. The move is likely to provide huge cost savings and will mean around 900 employees will now be based in the same location. The Warwick street office, previously occupied by King Sturge, where they initially moved around 275 employees into the office integrating the former King Sturge employees with their new colleagues at JLL. The consolidation now into 30 Warwick Street will mean JLL become the sole occupier at the London location with an extra 23,000 sq. ft. of space being made available by the previous occupier bridge point. 

Alex Goode from Morgan Pryce believes this will not only save costs for the firm but will also provide better communication links and a better working environment for the employees. He goes on to say, ‘’the space at Hannover square was extremely dated with many cellular offices dominating the awkward floor plates, with departments struggling to even be able to see each other on the floor. 30 Warwick Street in the other hand has a very efficient floor plate and will allow much improved communication links and a better working environment’’.
